Cancellation of Debt (COD)
COD Basics, Insolvency, Bankruptcy
6.0 CEU’s
Ethics Jeopardy 2.0 CEU’s
Speaker is: Lisa Ihm, EA
Ever feel lost with a client that presents you with COD or foreclosure. This program is designed to help you get through your next one. Lisa will walk you through the process with her exceptional presentation on COD. At a time when we as preparers are seeing more and more foreclosures, this will certainly be timely.
In addition, Lisa will give us our two CEU’s of ethics by giving us her version of Ethics Jeopardy. Certainly a fun way to meet our annual requirement!
Both of these programs have been presented nationwide. As an event subsidized by NYCTATP (low member cost) and with Lisa Ihm coming to town do not miss this event.
Lisa Ihm has been teaching seminars nationwide since 1986. She began teaching seminars about debt forgiveness back in the 1990s when we had the last wave of foreclosures – a small wave compared to our current one. We face a whole new set of problems this time around because of the creative financing of the last decade. She will help you understand the practical application of these complex rules to real-life situations, and her worksheets and flowcharts will walk you through the complicated process step-by-step.
Remember that your attendance fee gets you 8 CEU’s, continental breakfast, break, lunch, break, and Oktoberfest dinner!
